ARHS Principal Mark Jackson, along with the entire ARHS faculty and staff, received the Amherst A Better Chance House’s annual  Local Heroes Award. The awards states it was presented to Amherst High School  for encouraging, “All ABC Scholars to meet their full potential as Students, as Citizens and as Leaders.”
