Tapestry Health- Overdose Intervention Training Opportunity

Nasal Naloxone, commonly known as Narcan, is used to reverse a potentially fatal opioid overdose. It is safe to administer, cannot be abused and does not have any adverse effects aside from feelings of opioid withdrawal.

Tapestry Health provides free trainings to individuals that educate on how to recognize and prevent an opioid overdose, what to do if one occurs including calling 911, how to perform rescue breathing, and how to administer nasal naloxone or Narcan. After each training, individuals who are likely to witness an overdose will be able to receive a Narcan kit at no cost to them.

Narcan trainings are available at Tapestry Health locations in all four Western Mass counties, including La Voz in Springfield, our two needle exchanges in Holyoke and Northampton, HIV Client services in Greenfield, and our health clinics in Pittsfield and North Adams.
