Amherst has begun the process of creating an economic development strategy. The town has engaged the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission as consultants to report on key economic indicators, an analysis of the retail market, and strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) analysis. Amherst residents are invited to share feedback and have their ideas incorporated in the final SWOT analysis by filling out three surveys. The surveys can be found: here.
