We are in the process of starting a School Site Council (SSC) at ARMS & ARHS. The SSC’s main focus will be working on the School Improvement Plan (SIP). We will be meeting once a month for an hour, the day and time will be determined after the SSC is formed. The SSC will have between 9-12 members. There will be 3-4 representatives from three categories: ARHS personnel, parents of ARHS students and community members, and ARHS students. The ARHS PGO will be organizing the election for the parent and community representatives, and I will be organizing the election of the ARHS adults and students. 

Thank you to everyone who has expressed interest in joining the SSC. Because of the number of people who have expressed interest in joining the SSC, there will need to be an election. As part of the election process, I am asking that everyone interested in being on the SSC write a two or three-sentence answer to ‘Why do you want to be on the School Site Council?’ That answer will be part of the ballot which will be distributed by the ARMS & ARHS PGOs.
