| I hope this email finds you and your school communities enjoying the Spring. Below you will find a link to the MIAA Student Advisory Committee application. This committee is typically comprised of student leaders who participated in the MIAA Student Ambassador program or have shown strong leadership qualities within their school and community. Throughout the year, Student Advisory Committee members meet as a group approximately once a month. They are tasked with facilitating student leadership workshops, meeting as a committee to discuss student-related topics, and participating in various association activities throughout the year. The student voice is critical in how we continue to improve the Educational Athletic offerings of the MIAA. With that said, I am reaching out to our member school leaders to pass this application along to your 2024-25 junior and senior MIAA Student Ambassadors and those students that you consider to be exceptional leaders. Please know that this is an extremely competitive process with a limited number of spots available. MIAA Student Advisory Committee Application(click link above) The application must be completed and submitted to me by Friday, April 26, 2024. Finalist interviews will be scheduled, virtually, starting in early May. Additionally, those students who are selected to join the committee will be required to participate in a mandatory orientation on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 9:00am-1:00pm.
