The UMass Summer Transportation Institute (STI) is offering a free four week program from July 6-29, 2016 for rising 9th-12th graders. The program is intended to create awareness among high school students about transportation-related careers, and to encourage the pursuit of a college degree as preparation for a job in the transportation industry.
Students will learn about selected topics in all modes of transportation via invited talks, team projects, field trips, along with academic enhancement and recreational activities.
Students may participate in the program as commuters (9:30 am – 4:30 pm) or residents (with overnight accommodation). The costs including accommodations & meals are all paid through the program.
