Basic Rights: Understanding the IEP will be held on October 21, 2019 from 6 pm to 8 pm in the ARMS library professional development center.
This free workshop for parents/guardians and professionals is sponsored by the Special Education Parent Advisory Council. It will cover what is an IEP, why it is important, how the IEP is developed, a child’s strengths and concerns, a vision statement, sections of the IEP, the difference between accommodation and modification, response, placement and consent and procedural safeguards.
