Spring Awakening To Be Staged At ARHS

springawakeningARHS is proud to present Spring Awakening, March 12-14!  The brilliant Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2007 comes to the ARHS stage, featuring the work of over 120 of our incredible students.  Based on the 1891 play of the same name, Spring Awakening is a cautionary tale about what happens when adults fail to support and educate teenagers in their emerging adulthood.  Featuring a gorgeous production design and thrilling alt-rock score – all run by our students – it will be an electric, memorable show.

Due to its mature themes, which include teen sex, mental health, and abuse, the show is recommended for audiences aged 14 years and up.  Students that are 12-13 years old are strongly advised to attend with a parent/guardian.  We do not recommend the show for audiences under 12 years old.  We strongly encourage you to review this content advisory for details on the show’s content and the ARHS staging of this work.
While an atypical choice for our winter musical, the ARHS cast and crew are united around their efforts on this enthralling show – and the space for dialogue around issues of teen health and adult support that it creates.  We promise a thrilling, enjoyable, and poignant production for our audiences that we can’t wait to share.
Tickets can be ordered online at arhsspringawakening.bpt.me.  The production runs March 12-14 at 7:30, with a 2:00 matinee on March 14.
