Learn how to apply permaculture design to any backyard – big or small, sunny or shady, in this presentation by Ashley Schenk. Please join us in the Woodbury Room of the Jones Library at 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 16, 2015.
Ashley Schenk uses examples from his projects around the Pioneer Valley to show how you can use permaculture design to grow food, nourish a healthy ecosystem, and build a deeper relationship with your land. His explanation of the design process, specific examples, and knowledge of design strategies helps you focus in on your goals, learn useful strategies, and creatively problem-solve in your landscape.
Ashley Schenk has seven years of experience as a natural builder and permaculture designer. He co-founded Broadfork Permaculture, a permaculture landscaping cooperative, and has been working throughout Franklin and Hampshire Counties designing and implementing healthy backyard landscapes.
